Supporting the Renewable Fuel Pipeline Act of 2009 (H.R. 864) which would amend the 2005 energy bill to specifically qualify a renewable fuel common carrier pipeline as an eligible project to receive loan guarantees, along with increasing the loan guarantee to 90%. Supporting the OFS Act of 2009 (H.R. 1476) which would require automobile manufacturers to ensure that not less than 80% of the automobiles manufactured or sold in the United States by each such manufacturer to operate on fuel mixtures containing 85% ethanol, 85% methanol or biodiesel. Supporting the E85 and Biodiesel Access Act of 2009 (H.R. 1757) which amends the IRS code of 1986 to encourage increased access to alternative fuels. It also raises the amount of the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit from 30% of the cost of qualifying property to 50%, but raises the maximum credit to $100,000. And it corrects an IRS interpretation of the credit, which would thereby allow station owners to claim the value for the entire cost of dual purpose fuel dispensers instead of just the E85 portion (would qualify blender pumps). Met with Members of Congress March 22-23 in Washington, DC during the second annual "Biofuels Beltway March" fly-in and discussed these issues.
