Opposing legislation that would disrupt the relationship between air carriers and their maintenance contractors, impose new and unnecessarily burdensome reporting requirements on air carriers, undermine the global competitiveness of the U.S. aerospace sector and subject the small business-dominated U.S. aviation maintenance industry to potential retaliation by foreign aviation authorities (H.R. 5119). Supporting legislation to update aviation maintenance technician school requirements established by 14 CFR part 147 (S. 3043 and H.R. 5427). Encouraging federal policies to improve confidence in air travel during COVID-19 pandemic (no bill number).
