Lobbied in favor of the Senate Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the combined Senate-House health reform bill, and specifically for inclusion of the following provisions and amendments: S. 647 and House language for the "Nursing Home Transparancy and Improvement Act of 2009;" Senate Wellness Exam for Medicare benficiaries and provision on "detection of any cognitive impairment;" S. 245 and H.R. 468, "Retooling the Health Care Workforce;" as well as specific provisions from the bill on direct care training; S. 697 and H.R. 1721, Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) Act;" S. 1131 and H.R. 2560, The Independence at Home Act; S. 795, "Elder Justice Act;" and S. 631, "Patient Safety and Abuse Prevention Act."
