Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to take a series of actions relating to palliative-care training. Specifically, HHS must provide support for Palliative Care and Hospice Education Programs. The programs must support the training of health professionals in palliative and hospice care, including through traineeships or fellowships. In addition, HHS may provide support to medical schools, teaching hospitals, and graduate medical-education programs for training physicians who plan to teach or practice palliative medicine. HHS must also (1) provide Palliative Care and Hospice Academic Career Awards to health professional schools to promote the career development of academic hospice and palliative care specialists, (2) support individuals in specified fields who are pursuing an advanced degree in palliative care or related fields, and (3) award grants to nursing programs to train individuals in providing palliative care. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality may disseminate information to inform patients, families, and health professionals about the benefits of palliative care. The National Institutes of Health must expand national research programs in palliative care.

Expressed support for Section 340B of the Public Health Service Act. Urged Congress to revise Section 2 in line with concerns expressed over discussion draft on rebate conditions; that the current HRSA standard of additional definitions in Section 4 remain in place; that Section 8 recognize that child sites operated through other appropriate affiliated structures, in addition to wholly owned facilities, align compliance requirements with existing Medicare provider-based standards, and reconsider the proposed charity-care and Medicaid/CHIP revenue benchmarks to account for state and community variation. (H.R. 9393) - The Lower Costs, More Transparency Act of 2026 and (H.R. 9390) - The Prices on the Wall Act of 2026 - Urged Congress to ensure that any new transparency requirements are aligned with existing federal rules, avoid duplication, recognize the complexity of health care pricing, and provide sufficient flexibility for hospitals serving diverse communities and patient populations. (S.2372/H.R.4581) - 340B PATIENTS Act of 2025-Expressed support for the 340B Patients Act. This legislation would codify 340B providers' ability to use contract pharmacies to dispense 340B discounted drugs, ensure that 340B patients can pick up their prescriptions at any local pharmacy, and allow safety-net providers to continue providing expanded medical and social services to their communities using their 340B discount savings. (S. 2287/H.R. 4425) - Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA) - Expressed support for the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA). This legislation would increase the number of permanent faculty in palliative care in medical schools, nursing schools, and other programs, promote education and research in palliative care and hospice, and support the development of faculty careers in academic palliative and hospice (S. 380) - Rural Obstetrics Readiness Act - Expressed support for the Rural Obstetrics Readiness Act.
