The importance of the H-2B guest worker visa program to the golf industry was discussed with members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Specific legislation discussed was S. 388, Save Our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2009, and H.R. 1136, Save our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2009.

H.R. 3590 the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Worked on provision regarding health insurance coverage for seasonal workers.

We lobbied to expand the H-2B visa cap and to extend the H-2B returning worker exemption. S. 988 the Save Our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2007--in suppport of the bill which would extend the H-2B returning worker exemption for 5 years. H.R. 1843, the Save Our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2007--in support of the bill which would extend the H-2B returning worker exemption indefinitely.
