TFB advocated for various animal health provisions to be included in the Fiscal Year 2021 Agricultural Appropriations. These provisions would help farmers and ranchers dealing with the cattle fever tick and feral hogs. It would also create additional resources for Agricultural Research Services and the Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service to help combat animal pests. TFB worked to ensure Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) funding was included in H.R. 113, the FY2021 Appropriations bill passed in Congress. CCC is where funding for various farm programs is included. The CCC was in jeopardy of not being replenished. Lack of CCC funding would have caused farmers and ranchers to endure major delays in receiving needed assistance.
