Continued support for S-2302, America's Transportation Infrastructure Act of 2019. The legislation reauthorizes the federal-aid highway program for 5 years. Over the 5 years the legislation will provide $287 billion in highway spending which is a 27.7% increase over the current authorization. Continued advocacy in general for a long-term and robustly funded federal infrastructure program and a review of several means to fund such a program, including an increase in the federal gas tax, registration fees, and vehicle miles traveled fee system. Continued support for the ROCKS Act, HR 5117. The legislation establishes a working group of federal, state and local stakeholders to examine the use of aggregates for transportation and construction projects, and recommends federal guidelines to ensure continued access to this resource. Advocated for backstop funding for State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) as a component of COVID-related relief packages considered by both Chambers. This effort is to help support shortfalls expected over the coming year in all states due to declining revenues associated with the COVID pandemic.

Supported HR 2, INVEST in America Act (Moving Forward Act). The legislation authorizes up to $500 billion over five years to address essential and urgent infrastructure needs for roads, bridges and transit systems, and also encourages the construction of resilient infrastructure to withstand the effects of climate and extreme weather.
