S. 2370 Zero Emissions Homes Act AGA continues to advocate for natural gas role in the clean energy future and its role in keeping energy costs affordable for all Americans. Repeal of Section 433 AGA continues to advocate for the repeal of Section 433 of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 which states both new and existing/renovated federal buildings phase out the consumption of fossil fuel generated energy by 2030. No legislation introduced. H.R. 1848 LIFT America Act Sections pertaining to pipeline, RNG, hydrogen, and DOE energy grant provisions. H.R. 1512 CLEAN Future Act Promotion of the inclusion of the role of natural gas in our nations clean energy future. AGA found the bill did not support the role of natural gas in our nations clean energy future. H.R. 4153, Clean Energy Future Through Innovation Act The legislation would make significant investments in energy innovation and infrastructure, including carbon capture, advanced nuclear, renewables, efficiency, and storage. After a decade of innovation, it establishes a technology-neutral clean energy standard that would reduce CO2 emissions 80% by 2050. HR 6084, Energy Product Reliability Act Legislation that would establish a quasi-independent pipeline reliability organization that would conflict with PHMSA authority over pipeline safety, TSA authority over pipeline security and overall state regulatory authority over gas distribution systems. H.R.7962 to modify the definition of water heater under energy conservation standards. Legislation would modify the definition of water heater and related energy conservation standards. H.R. 5376 Inflation Reduction Act Legislation extends and makes modifications to existing clean energy tax credits, establishes new tax credits for clean energy production, establishes rebate programs for home appliances, other energy related programs and investments. Clean Energy Standard Would create incentives for utilities to include more clean energy into their energy supply. American Jobs Plan Promotion of the inclusion of natural gas, hydrogen, and renewable natural gas technologies in our nations clean energy future; no legislation introduced. Discussion draft to amend Energy Policy Act of 2005 to require the research, Development, and demonstration of clean hydrogen technologies and for other purposes Promotion of R&D to include end-use applications of hydrogen. Discussion draft to identify hydrogen deployment barriers Promotion of the inclusion of end-use applications of hydrogen.
