Boston Children's Hospital focuses on child health access (Medicaid/CHIP), pediatric workforce education, and public health issues impacting children. In the current Congress, we have advocated for reauthorization and funding through the appropriations process for the Children's Hospital Graduate Medical Education program (CHGME), and sought to insure that ACA repeal and replace efforts do not threaten children's' access to care. We have sought to insure that complex pediatric patients can travel across state lines through the ACE Kids Act (S428) and have been actively involved in efforts to simplify screening and enrollment for out of state providers treating these children (S2415). We have also provided information on the impact of opioid abuse on adolescents and treatment approaches addressing these concerns. In this calendar year, we opposed Medicaid cuts included in the American Health Care Recovery Act, the Better Care Reconciliation Act and the Graham-Cassidy legislation.

Boston Children's Hospital focuses on child health access (Medicaid/CHIP), pediatric workforce education, and public health issues impacting children. In the current Congress, we have advocated for reauthorization of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)and for reauthorization and funding through the appropriations process for the Children's Hospital Graduate Medical Education program (CHGME), and sought to insure that ACA repeal and replace efforts do not threaten children's' access to care.
