We advocated for a carbon tax vs. a cap and trade policy for aviation and suggested the industry could do better if funds from a climate change bill went back into aviation.

Climate Change Legislation. Met with House Energy and Commerce Committee staff to discuss their upcoming climate change legislation and how aviation fits into the bill. Discussed programs we support such as CLEEN and CAAFI and how funds should be re-directed back into aviation to invest in future technology and environmentally friendly programs instead of the funds going into a general fund.
